Silver Pines

Silver Pines is a side-scrolling survival horror with a Metroidvania structure. Detective Walker arrives in a forgotten town to find a missing musician and slowly realises the case runs far darker than a simple disappearance. The map forms one connected maze: new keys and tools open previously locked doors, so you keep returning to old areas. Ammo and medkits are scarce, enemies are deadly, and dodges and crafting carry you through fights. Characters and monsters use rotoscoped animation, while a jazzy score keeps the tension up. A playthrough runs around ten to twelve hours.
